Movement

Without regular targeted movement, your body slowly loses its strength, stamina and ability to function properly.

"You don’t stop moving from growing old, you grow old from stopping moving"

Exercise such as Pilate or Yoga increases muscle strength, which in turn increases your ability to do other physical activities. both disciplines are for everybody, regardless of gender, age, race, size, ability, or current fitness level!

All disciplines are available to book as a group session, one to one or online.

Pilates

Pilates is a fantastic all body discipline, it can help increase core strength, improve posture, and prevent injuries, among many other benefits. Practicing this form of exercise consistently can help both physically and mentally, improving quality of life by having a positive effect on depression and pain, most notably decreasing back pain.

Pilates is a low impact exercise that creates optimal strength through muscle balance and fine-tuning neuromuscular patterns.

Pilates aligns your entire body’s overall structure and supports its joints. What appears to look simple can be deceptively challenging and incredibly effective when done correctly with good form, which is what you will learn in every session you attend.

Pilates is a disciple that requires commitment by attending regular sessions so that you build a tool kit to not only assist you in every day life but also in any other activities you participate in.

Yoga

Yoga "to unite" is a physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in ancient India over 10,000 years ago.

Modern yoga is most commonly associated with the physical practice of asana, a series of postures often weaved together, this practice will generally build strength, stamina, improve flexibility, coordination and balance, as well as relax the body. However, Siane understands the importance of all aspects of traditional yoga practice and is proud to promote this in her sessions.

Each session may include:

  • Savasana (laying relaxation)

  • Pranayama (breathing techniques)

  • Asana (postures)

  • Dhyana (meditation & chanting)

After practicing yoga for many years Siane studied with the Himalaya Yoga Valley in 2019 to become a fully insured and registered Yogi, accredited by with RYT 200 yoga alliance. With this study came a greater understanding of the history and only fuelled her passion to teach a traditional practice.

Yogalates

Yogalates is a beautiful mix of both disciples “East meets West,” because it merges the ancient Indian practice of yoga with the Western practice of Pilates.

In each session Siane combines the yogic focus on enhanced mind and body awareness, strength, stamina, flexibility and balance, with Pilates techniques to improve posture and create a strong, stable foundation for movement.

As well as all the benefits of yoga and Pilates, Yogalates is particularly effective for improving muscle tone, developing a slimmer, stronger physique and when coupled with a healthy approach to food consumption even weight loss.
